Aloe Vera Gel: Update For Dentistry
Garnick et al evaluated a gel that combined allantoin, aloe vera, and silicon dioxide and its effects on apthous ulcers of the oral cavity. Each patient used a diary to document the number and duration of apthuos ulcers, the intervals between ulcers, ulcer size, and ulcer pain over a period of three to four months. The gel reduced these parameters. The reduced duration of the lesions in one arm of the study and the increased interval between lesions in the other arm of the study both were significant statically. The gel did not demonstrate any consistent effectiveness on ulcers in the oral cavity.

As the largest car sharing company in the world, Zipcar has learned through extensive research about the significant, positive environmental impact of car sharing. There are three major effects: Members shed cars. Over 40% of our members decide against purchasing a car, or end up selling their car. They drive less. Car usage of individuals is reduced by as much as 50%. They use other transportation. Members use the most efficient means of transportation for the task — walking, biking, public transportation, taxi or Zipcar.
